More and better homes for London
This joint report with law firm Winckworth Sherwood sets out a series of recommendations following extensive discussions with major developers’ on how to support physical regeneration in cities such as London.
While there is considerable scope for estate regeneration to deliver more homes, this does not mean that every housing estate should be redeveloped; an estate’s future will depend on its individual circumstances. The challenge is to get more of these typically long and complex schemes to happen and to improve the quality of life for residents, while also ensuring that such schemes are playing their part in a much broader effort that is required to increase housebuilding.
