Terence O’Rourke Ltd is looking for a knowledgeable, experienced and well connected property professional to head-up and expand its Midlands office in Birmingham.

The successful candidate is likely to have all of the following attributes:

  • Professionally qualified with proven experience of helping to facilitate the delivery of large scale developments across the West Midlands, preferably over a long period of time

  • A successful background in town planning consultancy, architecture, landscape architecture or urban design, or another professional discipline that would complement the work that we currently undertake

  • Excellent professional and technical knowledge

  • Excellent people, client-management, communication and networking skills

  • Experience of growing and leading a team of fellow professionals

  • A demonstrable track record of being a significant ‘fee earner’ and of securing new work from existing or new clients

  • Passionate about the work that you/we do and have a clear desire to facilitate a better quality urban and rural environment for future generations

  • A clear desire to invest in and be part of the management of one of the UK’s leading planning, design and environmental consultancies.

As our new director, you will be part of an integrated team of planners, designers and environmental specialists, working in the UK on a range of exciting projects across a wide range of sectors.  You will primarily be responsible for (but not restricted to) expanding our presence across the Midlands area, for being a significant ‘fee-earner’, for recruiting personnel and for expanding our client base in the area.
