Working on behalf of Forelle Estates, Terence O’Rourke is delighted to have secured planning permission for two employment units and a drive-thru coffee shop on the remaining undeveloped land at Safety Drive in Poole.
The new uses will complement the existing service station, which received planning permission and was built in 2019.
Terence O'Rourke has been advising Forelle Estates on potential future uses of the site since its purchase in 2014. The site has presented a number of challenges due to its former use as a general landfill with remaining land contamination, its location within a flood plain and the presence of Japanese knotweed. These issues, combined with the costs of developing the site, had prevented its productive re-use for over 40 years.
Forelle Estates is now planning to develop the site and anticipate that the new uses will first come into operation towards the end of 2021.
