Terence O’Rourke was delighted to assist Hill Marshall LLP in securing reserved matters approval for 308 new homes at Marleigh in Cambridge. The development – formerly known as Wing – is on land north of Newmarket Road and when complete will provide 1,300 new homes, a local centre, primary school and large areas of informal and formal open space.
Terence O’Rourke helped to secure the original outline planning permission in 2016, and more recently, a reserved matters approval for 239 homes and a local centre.
Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council’s joint development control committee voted unanimously on Wednesday (November 18) to grant reserved matters approval for phase 1B, including 308 homes, five sports pitches and allotments on the site, alongside community clubhouse and sport pavilion buildings for those using the green space.
Construction at the site commenced last year and the first homes are due to be occupied later this month.
