Terence O’Rourke has submitted a full planning application for a residential-led mixed use building on Blackbird Hill, Brent.
The site offers an ideal opportunity to redevelop brownfield land, strengthen the street scene, and maximise active frontages along Blackbird Hill, ensuring a vibrant urban environment whilst delivering much needed new homes.
The site is located within a short walk of the local centre, and within a sustainable urban location with good transport links. The application seeks approval for a 6-storey building of up to 57 apartments on a constrained site, stepping down to the adjacent conservation area.
At the lower levels the proposals include a flexible commercial/community use floorspace (within use class D1) to enliven Blackbird Hill, along with associated cycle and parking provision that is to be delivered as part of the proposals.
The application is set to be determined towards the end of 2020.
