Terence O’Rourke has added an additional two members to its Heritage team. Working alongside Technical Director John Trehy and Senior Heritage Consultant Sarah Davenport will be Associate Director Guy Kendall and Heritage Consultant Dervla Rooney.
Guy Kendall has extensive experience as both a field archaeologist and heritage consultant having worked with leading archaeological contractors before setting up the Heritage and Archaeology Team within White Young Green. He has since worked with Wardell Armstrong, SLR and RSK Headland Archaeology and has experience of assessing the heritage impact across extensive highway infrastructure schemes, residential proposals, retail, ecclesiastical and renewable energy projects. Guy’s wealth of heritage experience and knowledge across all development sectors currently experiencing exceptional growth will allow our Heritage team to meet the growing demands of our clients across all sectors of our business. His experience is recognised by both heritage institutes, the Chartered Institute of Archaeologists and Institute for Historic Buildings and Conservation. Guy will be based in our Bournemouth office and will support the members of the team whilst exploring areas to grow the business and heritage offer.
The company also welcomes Dervla Rooney to the Heritage team as a Heritage Consultant. Dervla has worked as a field archaeologist since graduating from Bournemouth University in 2018. Dervla worked in the field with Museum of London Archaeology and most recently L-P Archaeology where she assisted with the excavation of a Grade II listed 18th century workhouse in London. She has extensive research and report writing experience and is now eager to expand on that knowledge and learn more about the role heritage plays in the assessment of development impacts for our clients. Dervla will be based in our London office but will be using her family connections in Birmingham as an excuse to work with TOR’s growing team there when needed.
