The Dorset Housing Delivery Summit

Partnership is a Solution for Housing Delivery in Dorset

Sixty delegates representing local authorities and the housebuilding industry have been brought together by the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership to explore the opportunities for delivering more new homes in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.

The Dorset Housing Delivery Summit, held at the Bournemouth offices of planning, design and environmental consultancy Terence O’Rourke on 11 February 2014, considered the potential to co-ordinate the planning and delivery of new homes across key sites in the area.

Key themes of the day included the recent challenges of development viability, the need to identify priority sites for investment and the importance of a partnership approach.

Dorset LEP Board member, Jitinder Takhar said: “This is the start of an exciting pan-Dorset initiative, confirming Dorset as a partner in economic regeneration and the determination to achieve a positive contribution to the wider economy through housing development.”
