Having worked with Bournemouth Airport for many years, we helped the airport prepare its Master Plan and growth proposals to 2030.
We secured outline planning permission for Bournemouth’s new passenger terminal, addressing issues including green belt, proximity to important wildlife areas and noise. We also obtained planning permission for a major runway extension. Both permissions were granted without public inquiries. We also prepared a development brief for 80 hectares of employment land, provided master planning and gained planning permissions for Flight Refuelling.
We helped extend the time limits of the 2001 terminal planning permission, requiring an update of the environmental statement. We undertook noise modelling, air quality studies and collated information for an appropriate assessment of the proposals reflecting the proximity of the Dorset Heathland Special Area of Conservation.
Most recently we obtained planning permission for a new terminal building, and our architects designed the £45m terminal extension which forms its new departures building.
