To assist the school in modernising their estate Terence O’Rourke were appointed to undertake an estate review and to develop a planning strategy and masterplan vision that identified a number of development plots within the sensitive greenbelt site.
With a masterplan in place the first project to come forward was an extension of the Jubilee Building and the redevelopment of the covered play area to create a new sports centre. Although the hall provides a multi-functional space to deliver the school curriculum throughout the school day it has been designed as a specialist tennis centre, with viewing gallery and changing facilities, that generates a crucial revenue stream in the evenings.
