Client: Marshall Group
Planning Awards - Finalists for three categories:
Planning Permission of the Year, Planning for Housing Growth,
Stakeholder Engagement in Planning.
TOR assisted Marshall Group to secure outline planning permission for a sustainable new community on their land located on the eastern edge of Cambridge. The development now called Marleigh, will provide up to 1,300 homes, a primary school, local centre and community playing fields on land to the north of Cambridge Airport. In addition to the new community, the proposal also consolidates a number of the existing employment uses on the North Works site.
TOR was responsible for developing the planning strategy, coordinating the consultant team and providing planning and environmental advice throughout the preparation and negotiation of the outline planning application.
The practice continues to act for the Hill Marshall development partnership to co-ordinate the delivery of the reserved matters applications, conditions and Section 106 obligations to facilitate the phased buildout of the scheme.
