“Securing planning committee approval is a crucial milestone in the transformation of South Acton and we are extremely pleased to have been given the green light by our partners at the London Borough of Ealing.”
DAVID MONTAGUE, Chief Executive L&Q
Terence O’Rourke was appointed as planning consultant to deliver Phase 4 of the continued regeneration of the South Acton Estate.
The PCKO Architects design proposed the development of 107 apartments in one seven to nine storey block, including the provision of private and semi-private amenity space, car parking and highway and landscape works. The scheme also included the provision of West Park, a significant new area of public open space within the site, designed by LUC.
We provided planning advice to the team, advising on the master plan parameters, S106 requirements, detailed scheme siting, the level of provision of affordable housing and how best to address inconsistencies with the outline and planning policy. We prepared the reserved matters application, advised on archaeology and coordinated the required technical input from the consultant team. To expedite delivery the reserved matters application also discharged a number of pre-commencement conditions relative to this development phase.
Planning permission was granted in February 2014.
