Acton Gardens Phase 6
Clients: Countryside and London & Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q)
Terence O’Rourke were appointed as planning consultant for phase 6 of the South Acton Regeneration Project, Acton Gardens, securing reserved matters consent in May 2016 for the next phase in the ongoing regeneration of the estate.
Phase 6 of the development, at the heart of the site, will deliver a new community hub alongside the provision of 308 new private and affordable homes, set around a new Central Plaza community square.
Repeating the successful approach on previous phases, we advised the team on how to secure development outside of the parameters of the approved master plan. Our advice helped secure a negative EIA Screening opinion and enabled the proposals to be brought forward by reserved matters following amendment to the outline permission via a concurrent s73 application.
Acton Gardens is a joint project between Countryside and L&Q. Its aim is to completely regenerate Ealing Council’s largest council estate, delivering transformative change to deliver a vibrant new urban quarter and a complete community reconnected to its surroundings.
