“Like us, Terence O’Rourke is an innovative and lateral thinking organisation that is dedicated to winning and to achieving results of the highest quality. We are particularly demanding clients, wanting the best from all of our advisors, and their record of success for us speaks for itself.”

Former Chairman of the McLaren Group

Terence O’Rourke has advised McLaren since 1990 and has helped implement a property strategy which has seen the Group grow from 250 to just over 2,000 employees. Initially in 1996 we secured planning consent for the Group’s headquarters in the green belt to the north of Woking (the McLaren Technology Centre), enabling the Group to remain in the district. Following this, we secured planning consent for the McLaren Production Centre in 2009, making possible the production of the new MP4-12C super car at the headquarters site. Terence O’Rourke has continued its long-term relationship with the McLaren Group, by securing outline planning consent in 2016 for the McLaren Applied Technology Centre, another major proposal in the green belt.

The three buildings together create the 85ha ‘McLaren Campus at Woking’ and enable the Group to grow its capabilities in high performance engineering in the automotive and many new market sectors, partnering with other globally renowned companies.
